Hot on the heels of the fantastic NCEA and IB results are the 2015 Scholarship examination results. Our students gained 83 Scholarship passes and 13 Outstanding Scholarships. Three students gained National Outstanding Scholarships They were Ella Brownlie (3 Outstanding Scholarships and 2 Scholarships), 2015 joint Dux, Victoria Lowe (3 Outstanding Scholarships and 1 Scholarship) and Gabrielle Maffey (1 Outstanding Scholarship and 5 Scholarships).
There were 59 National Outstanding Scholarships awarded and St Cuthbert’s girls gained 5% of that total; 22% of the awards nationally went to girls and 13.6% of awards to girls were won by students from the College. Of the 59 National Outstanding scholars, eight were also Top Scholars in a subject and two of those students were from St Cuthbert’s.
Warmest congratulations to Ella Brownlie who was Top Scholar in History and to Gabrielle Maffey who was top of Art History and to all our scholarship winners.
Scholarship examinations are sat by students taking NCEA, Cambridge and International Baccalaureate qualifications and these awards will be recognised at the Top Scholars’ ceremony at Government House in Wellington.
