St Cuthbert’s College rowers will have a new training base from Term 2, 2027, with the programme moving from Mercer to Auckland Rowing Club (ARC).
Rowing is going from strength to strength at St Cuthbert’s, and we are thrilled to be starting this new chapter at a facility much closer to our Epsom campus. With its long-standing reputation and excellent facilities, ARC is the ideal partner to support our rowers as the programme moves into its next phase.
Rowing is still a young sport at St Cuth’s, and this move gives us the right foundation to build on. We’re grateful to have the backing of the team at Auckland Rowing Club as we consolidate the programme and make it the best it can be for the students involved.
Kirsty Dunhill will continue as Head Rowing Coach, providing continuity for students as they settle into their new surroundings. She will work alongside Kerry Lancaster, who has taken on overall responsibility for rowing at the College.
The College extends its sincere thanks to the team at Mercer, whose support has been invaluable in establishing rowing as a sports code at St Cuth’s. Their commitment to our students over this time has laid the groundwork for everything the programme has achieved so far.
We look forward to seeing our students on the water at ARC.
