Principal’s welcome

Welcome to St Cuthbert’s where we understand that choosing the right school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you will make as a family.

As parents we all want our daughters to be happy and fulfilled. As an experienced educator, who has held Senior School Principal, Deputy and Head of Girls’ Boarding roles at various independent and integrated schools, I can say without question that at this school I have encountered such impressive well-rounded young women…the confidence and maturity they gain, due to a St Cuthbert’s education, really stands out.

Part of what makes St Cuthbert’s such a special place is our ability to attract the most outstanding teachers, the best in the country, who engage, encourage and nurture our students to be the best they can be.

I am passionate about seeing service in action. I’ve seen first-hand how this has changed young people’s lives. Part of our responsibility is for our girls to understand how important it is that they make a difference in the world, at school and in their sphere of influence when they leave.

I am honoured to be Acting Principal until Charlotte Avery arrives in August. Charlotte comes to St Cuthberts from St Mary’s School in Cambridge UK, a leading independent day and boarding school for girls from pre-school to Year 13, where she has been Principal for 16 years.

She is a dynamic leader, who is passionate about “developing curious, creative and compassionate young women, with the aspiration, confidence and integrity to shape a better world”.

I encourage you to consider St Cuthbert’s for your daughter.

When you join St Cuthbert’s you are gifting your daughter an advantage she will carry through life – self-confidence, life-long friendships, wonderful memories and the tools she needs for success.

Ngā mihi
