Lights, camera, fashion! Movie genres came to life at our annual Wearable Arts event, where students from Years 7-13 crafted garments entirely from magazines and newspapers. This year’s theme, ‘Movie Genres’, inspired creations in Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Animation, Fantasy, and Musical categories.
The student-run event showcased collaboration and creativity, demonstrating what happens when young minds, unconventional materials, and movie magic collide. Year 7s worked together to create stunning hats, while our older girls produced fun outfits.
Year 12 student Charlotte Cameron captures the event’s spirit: “I love Wearable Arts for the sense of community it creates. Working closely in Houses and Tutor Groups brings people together and fosters new friendships.”
