Congratulations to our students who excelled at the 2024 Future Problem Solving National Finals! 33 of our students qualified, competing as seven teams and four individuals. After a big weekend of competition, we are proud to have earned 10 placements, with 14 students qualifying for the 2025 International Finals in the USA. Well done to all our students who took part and were respectful, focused and innovative, throughout the competition. It was tough but fun as well and it was great to see your creative thinking in action!
Our Year 6 team (Thea Maritz, Clara MacCulloch, Sarina Zhu, Jennie Xu) placed first in the Primary Division of the Global Issues Problem Solving category. Individual competitors Year 9 student, Lucia Yoon and Year 11 student, Zara Toes placed first in the Global Issues Problem Solving category. Well done to Year 8 student, Meera Thayalan on placing second in the Junior Division and Year 10 student, Cerisa Gu on her third place in the Middle Division. Congratulations to our Year 7 teams who placed second (Jocelyn Ke, Cecilia Ma, Elise Chilvers, Nina Prabhash) and third (Lucie Rutledge, Evie Oates-Hall, Madeleine Sadlier, Issy Pearce) in their division. The Year 12 team (Bonnie Wang, Olivia Wei, Julia Sung, Isobel Denton) placed third in the Senior Division Global Issues Problem Solving. The accolades continue into the Presentation of Action Plan category where Year 7 students (Harriet Glenie, Ami Nash, Melody Lian, Alice Feng) placed second and in the Middle division our Year 9 teams (Isabella Clarke, Juliet Wicks, Miya Nash, Adele Zhou, Lucia Yoon) placed second and third (Amy Tang, Teresa Sun, Abby Ma, Joyce Liu, Meera Thayalan, Cerisa Gu).
