We are delighted to share that our 2024 NZQA scholarship results are the best in the school’s history, and an increase of 22% on our 2023 exceptional results!
With 980 students in Years 9-13, our 139 scholarships equate to one scholarship for every seven students, and not only tops New Zealand girls’ schools, but on a per capita basis, places St Cuthbert’s at the top across New Zealand.
In addition, the Premier Scholarships were released this week, and out of the 12 students awarded this honour across New Zealand, St Cuthbert’s students were awarded a quarter, out of all schools nationally.
Our students gained a record 25 Outstanding Scholarships, and 114 Scholarships across a broad range of 27 subjects, and both the NCEA and IB pathways.
These results are an absolute testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, and our remarkable teaching team. A big thank you to our Deputy Head of Senior School, Julia Fuge who champions our scholarship programme.
Our NCEA and International Baccalaureate results are equally stunning, with a 99% pass rate for our Year 11 St Cuthbert’s Diploma, and 100% pass rates across NCEA Level 2, and Level 3. Impressively, 100% of our Year 13 cohort passed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, with a phenomenal nine students scoring over 40/45 and recognised as IB top scholars, with a record four students gaining 44.
