Today has been so special, bringing together our entire school community to commemorate this milestone. It began with a centenary service including moving speeches, musical performances and a tree planting ceremony with Cornwall Park Trust at the Robertson Circle. This was concluded by bagpipers leading students, staff and distinguished guests in a campus-wide procession in a nod back to a similar day back in 1925.
We were delighted to have the Hon Brooke van Velden (Peer Year 2010) speak during the ceremony and also officially open our new renovated Junior School Library in the Cottage. Our Junior School students enjoyed playing old fashioned games with Year 13 students.
The school day celebrations culminated in a spectacular aerial photograph with all students forming “100 YEARS” on the field in their House colours. The day drew to a close with a time of reflection and gratitude at the Old Girls’ Chapel Service. It has been amazing to reflect on our history and look towards the bright future of our College.
