St Cuthbert’s Students Awarded 121 NZQA Scholarships!

We are delighted to share our 2025 NZQA scholarship results! Our students have gained an impressive 121 scholarships including 16 Outstanding Scholarships.

Congratulations to our 2025 NCEA Dux, Ava Dilly, who has been awarded one of only 13 Premier Scholarships nationally. Ava secured nine scholarships, including four Outstanding Scholarships, placing her in contention for the Prime Minister’s Award.

A total of 70 students gained at least one scholarship across 31 different subjects, Congratulations to Bonnie Wang, Rose Mullins, Eassin Wang, Cerisa Gu, Zilin Yuan, Jessica Wu, Helena Wong and Jiayi Li, who join Ava Dilly on the St Cuthbert’s Honours Board, having secured three or more scholarships each.

Our 2025 NCEA and International Baccalaureate results are equally impressive, with a 99% pass rate for NCEA Level 2, and 100% pass rate for NCEA Level 3. Impressively, 100% of our Year 13 cohort passed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, with a phenomenal 36% scoring over 40/45; these students are recognised as IB Top Scholars, placing them amongst the top in the world.

Huge congratulations to Olivia Wei who gained a perfect IB score of 45. We will be communicating these extraordinary results in more detail, once we have received all re-counts.


These results are an absolute testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, and our remarkable teaching team!
