Summer of Speed: Scarlett Robb’s Record-Breaking Season

Scarlett Robb has had a busy summer competing across New Zealand, Australia and the USA in track and cross country.

At the New Zealand Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships in the Hawke’s Bay in early December, Scarlett achieved the distance double, winning both the Senior Girls 1500m and 3000m. As a result of this, Scarlett was named in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Team.

The following week Scarlett travelled to Melbourne and competed at the prestigious Zatopek meet, winning the Australian U20 3000m Championships in a nail biting finish. The week after Scarlett backed this up with a win in the Open Women’s 5000m at the Daikin Night of 5’s, after finishing 13th in the same event 12 months ago. This also doubled as the Auckland 5000m Championships.

In late December Scarlett travelled to Tallahassee, Florida, USA to compete in the World Cross Country Championships, finishing 48th, and the top placed New Zealander. Scarlett also finished off 2025 signing a contract with Nike.

This past weekend Scarlett was back on the track in Whanganui, finishing second in the Open Women’s New Zealand Mile Championships at the Cooks Classic.

In the coming six weeks Scarlett is travelling to Australia four times and is racing on track in Auckland, Perth, Hobart, Adelaide and Sydney.  We wish Scarlett the best of luck with her upcoming races.
