On Tuesday 18 August, a group of our Year 11 Computer Science and Digital Design students attended the ShadowTech excursion at Techtorium in Auckland.
The girls spent the day exploring the world of tech, trying their hand at coding in Godot, and hearing from a panel of industry professionals about their varied career journeys in IT.
ShadowTech is run by TechWomen and NZTech, and aims to inspire young women to explore the many career pathways technology has to offer – showing that there’s far more to the industry than coding alone. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to spark their curiosity and picture their own future in one of Aotearoa’s fastest-growing sectors.
