St Cuth’s students win national GirlBoss Awards

Congratulations to Kenisha Mediratta and Aisha Mitha, who were both recognised at the 2026 GirlBoss Awards in Auckland last month, from a field of 647 applicants nationwide.

Aisha won the National GirlBoss 2026 STEM Award, sponsored by Orion and Connetics, for an app she designed to support people living with dementia, helping with memory, sleep and diet. She built it after meeting a distressed resident at the retirement home where she volunteers. Ten residents have since trialled it.

Kenisha received the Innovation Award, sponsored by Spark, for REdefine Aotearoa, a youth-led racial education initiative that helps rangatahi navigate the impacts of racism while protecting their mental health.

Well deserved, both of you.
